Create User Profile Synchronization Service Application

To create a User Profile Synchronization Service application follow these steps 

  • Navigate to the Central Administrator > Application Management > Service Applications > Manage Service Applications > Select New from the Ribbon > and choose User Profile Synchronization Service
    • You can use the following screenshots to successfully create the service application
    •  

      Note* Enter the My Site Host URL information later after the My Site has been created

    • After successfully creating this navigate to Central Administrator > System Settings > Servers > Manage services on servers
      • Start the following services on the Server:, select this from the options at the top of the browser
        • User Profile Service
      • User Profile Synchronization Service
