To use the Visio Graphics Web services Service Application you will first need to create a Visio Graphics Service Application. Follow these steps to create a Visio Graphics Service Application and proxy Service application.

• Provision a Service Account such as Domain\spvisio to run the service application
  • Navigate to Central Administration > Security > Configure Service Accounts > Register New Managed Account
• Navigate to Central Administration > Application Management > Manage Service Applications
  • New Visio Graphics Service Application
    • Use the screenshots to assist you with creating the Application
      • Visio Graphics Service Application
      • APP_POOL_VISIO_GRAPHICS_SERVICE_APPLICATION

• Make certain that the Service Account spvisio has db_datareader and db_datawriter access to the Content and Config DBs
• If this doesn't work, add the dbowner role to these

• This isn't an ideal approach to give the account owner rights, however in many cases this appears the only solution and is better than using the Farm account to run the service

Once this process is complete you will be able to display Visio drawings from a SharePoint Visio Web Part. You will need to save the Visio document into a .vdw format which is the web drawing type suitable for SharePoint

Also, make certain you start the Visio Grahic Service in Central Administrator > System Settings > Servers > Manage Services on Server
